Russia is preparing to test a new tanker aircraft.

The day before, the news agency Avia.pro learned that the first Il-78M-90A aircraft is already in the final assembly shop, and the likelihood that the aircraft will be tested already this year is extremely high, and, according to the opinions experts, the tests of the new aircraft will most likely take place before the beginning of August.

It should be clarified that the Il-78M-90A tanker aircraft is a deep modernization of the Il-78 fueling aircraft version, while the main changes affected the equipment on board, as well as the power unit, which is now represented by two PD-30 engines, instead of engines D-30, which, in turn, provides this aircraft with greater efficiency of its use.
