Russia is dissatisfied with Armenia's plans to ratify the treaty of accession to the International Criminal Court

Moscow considers Yerevan's plans to join the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court absolutely unacceptable.

Against the backdrop of Yerevan's official statement about Armenia's intentions to accede to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, with the aim, allegedly, of subsequently holding Azerbaijan accountable for war crimes, Moscow expressed dissatisfaction with such actions of Yerevan. This is primarily due to the fact that by acceding to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, Armenia will be obliged to comply with the orders of the International Criminal Court, and this, among other things, applies to the recently issued warrant for the arrest of Vladimir Putin.

According to the TASS news agency, citing its own source in the country's Foreign Ministry, Moscow considers Yerevan's plans to accede to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court against the backdrop of legally void "warrants" against the leadership of the Russian Federation as absolutely unacceptable.

Yerevan has not yet commented on the situation with the possible fulfillment of requirements and obligations to the International Criminal Court, however, such actions can seriously undermine relations between Armenia and Russia, especially given the fact that Armenia is a member of the CSTO.
