He noted that the service demonstrates a hostile attitude, but nevertheless, at the moment there is no alternative to it.

"Google has been integrating into our digital infrastructure for years and deployed a CDN network (Content Delivery Network) throughout the country. It is for this reason that it is technically impossible to block YouTube at the moment"Gorelkin commented.

Nevertheless, the deputy outlined the possibility of creating alternative platforms. He spoke about the launch of the VK video video service in test mode, which is expected to be completed by September.

"Now it's better to continue publishing videos on YouTube, but upload them to both Zen and VK at the same time - gradually move there"he advises.

Gorelkin also touched upon the lack of a "Russian" Wikipedia, mentioning that the existing Russian-language segment is part of the American service. He noted that in 2014 "the editors who are well disposed towards Russia were cleaned out." “There is an ideology and a lot of money there, but there is nothing objective there,” Gorelkin notes, but expressed hope for the launch of an alternative Ruviki project in June, where they will actively oppose lies.
