Russian self-detonating unmanned aerial vehicle "KYB" was developed by the Kalashnikov concern and was first presented at the international exhibition IDEX-2019. The unique novelty has small dimensions and is capable of effectively destroying enemy positions at distances of several tens of kilometers.

Experts drew attention to the fact that its technical characteristics, principle of operation and appearance, the Russian kamikaze drone is very similar to the Israeli Harop drone, thus, which was used to destroy the Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile-gun system on the night of January 21, 2019. Nevertheless, the dimensions of the Russian drone are much smaller, which greatly simplifies the processes of transportation and operation, and also makes the aircraft more maneuverable.

There is evidence that a self-explosive unmanned aerial vehicle "KYB" has a kilogram charge in 3, which is quite effective for hitting enemy shelters, their manpower, and lightly armored vehicles.
