Lightning struck a Finnair passenger liner.
As follows from the data presented by the Finnish media, this afternoon, during a flight from Helsinki to Bangkok, lightning struck an Airbus A350 passenger airliner. As a result of the incident, none of the people on board, and we are talking about 350 passengers, were not injured. It is reported that a lightning discharge struck a passenger aircraft while approaching Bangkok, and therefore the airliner commander requested an emergency landing.
Whether the Finnair passenger airliner received any damage remains unknown, however, as a result of the incident, the return flight to the Finnish capital was delayed by 5 hours, which created a lot of problems for 336 citizens.
It should be clarified that in the vast majority of cases, a modern passenger airliner can withstand several lightning strikes at a time. as for light aircraft, this usually ends in disastrous consequences.
