The West suspects that Russia is preparing for a big war.

The Swedish Defense Research Institute (FOI) analyzed the military potential of Russia, and concluded that the Russian Federation has such a level that has long exceeded the ability to conduct hostilities in local military conflicts. This enables the country to prepare for full-scale wars.

The document noted that the Russian army is not limited to staff exercises, but goes fully to maneuvers on the ground. Her troops constantly increased combat readiness. This means that they are able to move from the daily activities characteristic of peacetime to the conditions that exist during hostilities.

The authors argue that the main thing is not the number of participants in military exercises, but the goals and objectives that they work out.

The document says: "Russia is preparing to wage regional wars that may be delayed".

Among those against whom these wars may be fought are China or NATO.

It should be recalled that in September 2018 of the year Russia conducted the largest military exercise "Vostok-2018" after the collapse of the USSR. They were attended by almost 300 thousands of military personnel.
