Militants of the "Islamic state" shot down a Syrian fighter.

As the news agency Avia.pro, Syrian MiG-23 was shot down by militants of the terrorist group "Islamic state", whose activities are prohibited in the territory of the Russian Federation, in Damascus province. According to preliminary information the plane was hit by anti-aircraft installation of the mobile, thus, the pilot who was on board the fighter was killed.

According to some reports, almost immediately after the attack on the Syrian military plane, the area where the firing was conducted allegedly was subjected to artillery fire, and the information about whether the militants were destroyed, it remains unknown.
