Russia sent to Syria fighter-interceptor MiG-31.

At this point, at least one fighter-interceptor of this model is seen at the Russian airbase Hmeymim that in Syria, however, experts believe that the territory of this country sent at least 4 aircraft. It should be clarified that so far the Ministry of Defense has not officially voiced its plans to send to Syria these aircraft, however, experts believe that this may be part of the plan for the defense of the country.

Information and news agency Avia.pro notes that the fighter-interceptor MiG-31 were adopted by the Russian Army in 1981 year, and at the moment these aircraft are still highly effective in the fight against air targets.
