The United States has proposed three ways to defend against Russian hypersonic missiles.

Against the background of the appearance of hypersonic weapons in the arsenal of Russia, and the absence of such in the USA, Defense News specialists issued a statement suggesting at once three methods of protection against Russian hypersonic missiles, which may well prove to be quite effective.

“According to the authors, first of all, in the Pentagon, it is necessary to determine who is responsible for making major decisions that affect the command, control, and combat control systems and the fight against hypersonic weapons. It is also noted that Congress should immediately support efforts to deploy spaceborne sensors with which it will be possible to track the sources of this threat. As the third way to counter cruise missiles, the authors suggest that the United States acquire allied countries, such as the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Israel, in whose territory the respective interceptors are supposed to be located. ”- notes the publication "Ferra", referring to foreign experts.

According to analysts, only a method can be effective regarding the placement of sensors on the planet’s orbit that will detect missile launches, however, the effectiveness of this method also remains in question, since adverse weather conditions will interfere with their normal operation.
