Explosions rock the largest ammunition depot in the Chadian capital

Today in the capital of Chad, N'Djamena, a fire broke out at the largest ammunition depot, causing a series of powerful explosions. This was reported by Reuters with reference to a statement by the country's Foreign Minister Kulamalla Abderrahman.

According to eyewitnesses, the explosions were so strong that pieces of ammunition were scattered throughout the surrounding area, falling onto the roofs of nearby houses and causing significant damage. The Foreign Minister confirmed that at least one person was killed and several people were injured to varying degrees as a result of the incident.

The fire started at night and quickly spread throughout the warehouse, causing panic among local residents. Eyewitnesses say that explosions were heard at a considerable distance from the scene of the incident. Many people were forced to leave their homes in search of safe haven.

Local rescue services and firefighters immediately arrived on the scene, but extinguishing the fire proved extremely difficult due to constant explosions of ammunition. Rescue operations are continuing, with firefighters making every effort to contain and extinguish the fire to prevent further explosions and minimize damage.
