In the UK, a few minutes before the flight, a drunken pilot was detained.

According to the Daily Mail, police officers detained a pilot of a passenger plane at one of the major British airports, who was in a state of extreme intoxication. For a number of reasons, the name of the air carrier was not disclosed, however, it is known that the passenger liner was supposed to fly to Mauritius.

According to the Avia.pro resource, one of the crew members reported the inadequate condition of the pilot to the police, who refused to fly with a drunken pilot, as there was a high risk that the flight would end in tragedy. In fact, it was possible to remove the pilot from the plane only a few minutes before the take-off, while exactly how the man was able to freely pass all the security posts remains unknown.

In total, there were about 300 passengers on board the passenger airliner, while, as a result of the incident, the flight had to be postponed for 2 hours.

An investigation is currently underway, and if the man is indeed found guilty, then most likely he will not only be fired, but also ordered to pay a large fine.
