A tragic incident occurred in Volgograd, where a military truck hit a man at a pedestrian crossing in front of his children. The deceased turned out to be restorer Sergei Tipailov, who, together with his daughter and son, was crossing the road at the green light. Tipailov got off his penny-farthing to cross the crossing when a military truck crashed into him at full speed, the driver of which did not even try to slow down.

Children riding behind their father on scooters became unwitting witnesses to the tragedy. The man died on the spot, which was a real shock for his family and those around him. After the collision, the truck driver continued driving without stopping, and soon crashed into another car, a UAZ, after which he again tried to escape from the scene.

The driver of the truck, who turned out to be a 39-year-old man, has already been detained by law enforcement agencies. A criminal case has been opened against him for the fatal hit-and-run and subsequent actions related to an attempt to escape from the scene of the accident.
