In Japan, during the flight, the American fighter caught fire

In Japan, an American fighter flared up during the flight.

The American fighter carried out a training flight, however, in the process of its commissioning, the engine burned, so, after dumping tanks with fuel, returned to the base. It is reported that the pilot of the American fighter did not suffer, however, information about the damage to the aircraft is not yet available.

According to Japanese media, an American military aircraft dropped fuel tanks in Lake Ogavara, thereby causing a severe damage to the region's ecology, with which environmentalists are currently struggling to cope.

The reasons for the ignition of the fighter jet engine are still unknown, however, the Ministry of Defense of Japan has already set up a special commission to investigate the incident, since it is likely that the incident could have been due to poor-quality maintenance of the equipment.
