Ka-32 helicopter burned in Moscow region by order of GUR of Ukraine

On the night of April 25-26, 2024, a Ka-32 search and rescue helicopter belonging to the State Institution "Moscow Aviation Center" was set on fire at the Moscow airfield Ostafyevo. The perpetrators recorded their actions on video, which was later published in a messenger on behalf of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, a group of five people, including 19-year-old Anastasia Molchalina, 21-year-old Stanislav Khamidulin, and 22-year-olds Daniil Yamskov, Nikita Bulgakov and Roman Yakovets, entered the guarded territory of the airfield and set fire to the helicopter. The organizer of the crime was Stanislav Khamidulin, recruited by the Ukrainian special services. He recruited the other participants via the Internet, promising a monetary reward.

As a result of the arson, the helicopter sustained significant damage, and the damage was estimated at 700 million rubles. Items indicating the intentional nature of the crime were found at the scene: a bottle with the smell of flammable liquid, a crowbar, barbed wire, a scarf and gloves.

Federal Security Service (FSB) officers promptly detained all suspects. The Dorogomilovsky District Court of Moscow remanded them in custody until June 27, 2024. They were charged under paragraphs "a" and "c" of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("A terrorist act committed by an organized group, resulting in significant property damage"). If found guilty, the accused face up to 20 years in prison.

The first deputy head of the Western Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Viktor Kozlov, noted that the arsonists acted on the instructions of an unidentified person in the interests of Kyiv. He emphasized that the investigation has evidence confirming the involvement of the detainees in the crime.
