Despite the fact that the Syrian government did not announce the start of an offensive operation against the last stronghold of the Jaysh al-Izza militants, hundreds of airstrikes have been launched in the provinces of Hama and Idlib in recent hours. According to military analysts, Syrian forces are preparing to swiftly take control of northwestern Syria, completely demoralizing the militants.

According to the data presented on Twitter, the largest number of air strikes by the Russian Aerospace Forces and the Syrian Air Force fell on the cities of Khan Sheikhoun, Al-Tamanah, Saraqib and Urum al-Kubra. The outskirts of the Syrian cities of Aleppo and Idlib were also bombed by the Russian Aerospace Forces.

According to preliminary data, in just a few hours, several hundred air strikes struck the Syrian militants, and although there is a lull in northwestern Syria, experts believe that new bombardments of the militants' positions will continue, after which the active phase of the ground offensive operation will begin.
