At the moment, it is known that the Russian military aircraft began to leave the Syrian airbases and return to their permanent bases. This is due primarily to the fact that Russian military aeronautics played a decisive role in the fight against the terrorist group "Islamic State", whose activities are banned in the territory of the Russian Federation, destroying one of the most important bulwarks of radical Islamists.

Nevertheless, experts believe that if necessary, the Russian Aerospace Forces will be ready to support the Syrian troops in case of new terrorist attacks, however, no official statements have been made about this.
