The German authorities intend to ban laser pointers for the purpose of air transport safety

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Germany wants to ban the open sale of laser pointers to avoid acts of hooliganism by blinding the pilots.

As the German edition of Wirtschaft Woche notes, only last year 322 registered a case of laser blinding of pilots of helicopters and airplanes, which in some situations almost led to plane crashes. At the moment there are no clear rules for this, however, it is assumed that now in order to purchase a laser pointer you will need to have a special license, but one way or another, a bill on this will be passed on Monday, and it is quite possible that its adoption will reduce the risk of air crashes.

It should also be noted that such actions have already found the regulation among the pilots of aircraft, and in the case of attempts to conceal the glare of the public services, the pilot of the aircraft could face up to 10 years imprisonment, without the right to engage in such activities.
