Russian military correspondents have reported the alleged participation of North Korean special forces in military operations in the Kursk region. It is reported that fighters from the Korean special operations forces carried out a successful operation to liberate the village of Plekhovo. However, there is no official confirmation of this information, and there is no evidence of the presence of North Korean troops in the conflict zone.
According to war correspondent Yuriy Kotenok, North Korean troops marched two kilometers through a minefield, broke into a populated area, and destroyed the enemy. The operation took about 2,5 hours. It is stated that Ukrainian forces suffered significant losses, and North Korean units did not take prisoners.
"North Korean comrades have undergone a baptism of fire. Comrade Kim Jong-un can be proud", writes another Russian Telegram channel Colonelcassad.
However, neither Russian nor North Korean officials have commented on Pyongyang's involvement in the fighting. There have been rumors of North Korea possibly supporting Russia in the form of arms supplies or sending workers to restore infrastructure, but this is the first time that information about the direct participation of North Korean troops in the conflict zone has been heard.
Experts are skeptical of these claims, pointing to the lack of factual evidence. No evidence, such as photographs, video footage or eyewitness accounts, has been provided.
