The Russian Pantsir-SM turned out to be worse than expected.

As part of the Army-2019 forum, Russian developers for the first time presented the latest Pantsir-SM anti-aircraft missile and cannon system. As it turned out, the version not only does not have the promised rockets, but also the design of the complex itself caused a lot of disappointment.

The Pantsir-SM air defense missile system disillusioned specialists primarily by the fact that this version of the air and missile defense system not only did not have the promised hypersonic missiles, but also the dimensions of the air defense missile system increased significantly, increasing the chances of the enemy to destroy it.

The lack of hypersonic missiles in the complex is primarily due to the fact that they will be available from the Pantsir-SM-SV version, namely, the new weapons were supposed to make this air and missile defense system the most promising. Nevertheless, due to the increased size, it became easier to detect this complex, which was previously demonstrated by the Israeli Air Force, which destroyed at least two "Shell" in Syria.

On the other hand, analysts have found a significant improvement in the complex, in particular, we are talking about increased width, which makes Pantsir-SM more stable during transportation.
