The US wants to strengthen its missile defense.

As follows from the TASS report, the Deputy Head of the Pentagon for Political Affairs, John Rood, made a statement saying that the United States is considering the possibility of creating a third ABM base. The territory where it should be located will be the eastern part of the country.

True, Ruud clarified that a decision on this issue has not yet been made. The specific place where the anti-missile missiles should be placed is also undefined.

According to the news agency, the creation of a third missile defense position area in the Northeast part of the country has been underway for several years. Previously, the Pentagon to create a new base was recognized as inappropriate.
