Restoration of air links with Egypt may again be postponed.

During his interview, Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Maxim Sokolov said that currently the main obstacle to the restoration of air links with Egypt is the lack of a biometric security system. In fact, after the system is installed and successfully tested, flights to Egypt can be restored, however, until this point, operating flights to this country will be banned.

It should be clarified that until now it was assumed that the visit of Minister of Transport in Egypt is purely formal, however, given the statement made, it is logical to assume that the flights to this country will be restored not earlier 2017 years.
