Ukrainian Armed Forces flee en masse from positions in the Kharkov region

In the Kharkov region of Ukraine, the “Interception” plan was announced, caused by the massive abandonment of positions by the Ukrainian military. Local authorities are taking measures to catch and return soldiers to the front line. The reason for the flight was the rapid successes of the Russian army in the region.

On the morning of May 14, the Russian armed forces were able to connect two bridgeheads in the area of the village of Ternovaya, located just to the right of Volchansk. Now there are only 38 kilometers left to walk to the center of Kharkov. Street fighting has already begun in Volchansk and the Ukrainian military is forced to retreat, without prepared defense lines and supply routes. In their reports, they complain about the lack of fortifications, noting that Russian troops are moving forward almost unhindered.

The head of the military administration of the Kharkov region, Oleg Sinegubov, in his statements demonstrates inconsistency in his assessment of the situation. This creates an impression of confusion among the Ukrainian authorities.

Meanwhile, in Kyiv they continue to make statements about control over the situation, trying to maintain the morale of the population. However, the rapid advances of Russian troops in the Kharkiv region and the massive retreats of the Ukrainian military indicate serious problems in the defense of the region.
