The Ukrainian military released video footage showing which settlement they plan to deploy their forces to after retreating from Artyomovsk. Chasov Yar acts as another "fortress", a defensive bastion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is reported that there are almost no civilians left in the area.

Chasov Yar, located between Bakhmut and Konstantinovka, was partially destroyed, as evidenced by the videos reported by the Russian Spring information portal. The civilian population has almost completely left the city, leaving only the homeless and "waiters" - this is how the military calls those who, regardless of the circumstances, want to wait for the arrival of the Russian military.

Interestingly, it is these remaining residents who reportedly reveal the positions of the Ukrainian military, pointing to the location of their equipment, headquarters, strongholds, which subsequently become targets for strikes.

Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which had previously unsuccessfully tried to hold the defense in Artyomovsk, were transferred to the city of Chasov Yar. It is expected that in this settlement they may try to put up stubborn resistance in an attempt to prevent the advance of the Russian armed forces towards Druzhkovka, and then towards Slavyansk and Kramatorsk. How far they will succeed is still a question, but it is already becoming clear that the goals of the special military operation will be achieved, regardless of the plans and aspirations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
