The Ukrainian Armed Forces are transferring elite units to the Kharkov direction

The Ukrainian command continues to strengthen its positions in the Kharkov direction, transferring elite special forces there. According to information received, the 8th regiment of the Special Operations Forces (SSO) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) entered Liptsy.

This regiment underwent intensive special training in 2022 under the NATO Advance program, mastering NATO methods of operation of sabotage and reconnaissance groups and the installation of complex demolition systems. Such training was aimed at improving combat skills and increasing the effectiveness of units in modern conflicts.

However, as combat operations showed, not all units of the 8th MTR Regiment were able to apply the acquired knowledge in practice. In May last year, during fierce battles near Artemovsk (Bakhmut), one of the regiment’s units, along with group commander Dmitry Kramar, was destroyed. A similar fate befell those fighters who were transferred to Avdeevka, where they also suffered significant losses.

The transfer of elite units to the Kharkov direction indicates the intention of the Ukrainian command to strengthen its positions and prepare for possible offensive or defensive operations in this area. The Kharkov direction remains one of the key sectors of the front where intense fighting continues.
