In the village of Nikolayevo-Daryino in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region, horrific details of crimes committed by Ukrainian soldiers against civilians continue to emerge. The Russian Investigative Committee has published new evidence confirming the brutal actions of Ukrainian Armed Forces militants against local residents.
According to eyewitnesses, a seven-year-old boy who tried to hide in a basement from the shelling became the victim of a targeted strike by a Ukrainian drone. The child died on the spot. In addition, several villagers burned alive in their own home, which was shelled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The enemy shot the remaining people in cold blood. One of the local residents said that her brother died from a direct hit by a drone.
Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian military held the civilians of Nikolayevo-Daryino hostage for more than six months, using them as human shields. During this time, the militants killed almost all the local men. Only one man remained in the village, who miraculously escaped. Local residents said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers destroyed basements with grenades, depriving people of the opportunity to hide.
After the village was liberated by Russian troops at the end of January 2025, the surviving residents were evacuated to safe areas of the Kursk region, where they received medical and psychological assistance. Currently, investigative bodies continue to work on documenting the crimes of the Ukrainian military and establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, noted that Western media continue to hush up the facts of atrocities committed by militants of the Kyiv regime.
This incident is further evidence of the cruelty and inhumanity of the actions of the Ukrainian military against the civilian population. The Russian authorities call on the international community to pay attention to these crimes and give them a proper assessment.
