The Israeli Air Force carried out a series of air strikes on military installations located near the border crossings between Syria and Lebanon. The airstrikes targeted positions actively used by the Shiite group Hezbollah to organize arms deliveries from Syria to Lebanon. Information that these installations were used for storing and transporting weapons came from Israeli military sources.
The IDF Spokesperson's Office said the strikes targeted ammunition depots and warehouses, as well as infrastructure facilities used for the group's military operations. The Israeli military emphasizes that Hezbollah's operations in the region remain a threat to stability in the Middle East, and that these actions constitute a direct violation of the sovereignty of neighboring countries.
It is known that Hezbollah, supported by Iran, actively uses Syrian territory for logistics and weapons supplies, which are then sent to Lebanon, where the organization continues to strengthen its positions and conducts active military operations against Israel.
