The runway "Sheremetyevo" for 56 billion rubles turned out to be unusable

The runway built at Sheremetyevo turned out to be unusable.

The construction of a new runway in the capital's Sheremetyevo airport, for which, according to rough estimates, 55,7 billion rubles were allocated, turned out to be futile, because the runway turned out to be unsuitable for operation. High-rise buildings are to blame for this, which does not provide safety for the take-off of large passenger airliners, and also creates additional inconveniences for residents of nearby areas.

According to some reports, the operation of the runway of the Moscow Sheremetyevo airport will still be carried out, however, with a number of restrictions, in particular, we are talking about a limited number of flights operated at night, limited maximum takeoff weight of airliners, etc.

Why, during the construction of the runway, these factors were not initially foreseen remains unknown, but starting from March 2019 the runway will already be put into operation, which, with a number of restrictions, does not bring any advantages for the capital's air harbor.
