According to preliminary data, the victim of a car explosion in Sevastopol was a captain of the 1st rank of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. This was reported by Baza. The incident occurred in the parking lot of one of the stores on Taras Shevchenko Street, where his car was parked. It is reported that the cause of the tragedy could have been an improvised explosive device (IED) planted under the bottom of the vehicle.
Witnesses of the incident said that the explosion was so powerful that the driver's legs were torn off and he could not be saved. Despite prompt attempts to provide assistance, the man died on the spot from injuries incompatible with life.
