After a combined attack by Hezbollah on northern Israel, a fire broke out in the western Galilee, engulfing the territory of an IDF military base. The Israel Defense Forces confirmed that the incident, which killed one person and wounded another in Nahariya, was caused by the fall of an Iron Dome air defense missile.
According to the IDF statement, the anti-missile was unable to shoot down an aerial target and fell on a car containing civilians. This led to tragic consequences - one person died on the spot and another was seriously injured.
Hezbollah's combined attack included the launch of drones and missiles, which triggered the Iron Dome air defense system. Despite the high level of protection, one of the interceptor missiles did not reach its target and caused a tragedy.
