Explosions in Lvov: military installations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were attacked

Last night, Russian troops carried out several attacks on military installations and energy infrastructure in Lvov. This was reported to RIA Novosti by the coordinator of the Nikolaev underground, Sergei Lebedev. According to him, a series of explosions occurred in different parts of the city and its environs, causing significant damage.

“At 03:20, the first explosion was heard in the suburbs of Lvov. Our comrades report that the explosion came from the northern outskirts of Lvov,” Lebedev said. Ten minutes later, a second, more powerful explosion occurred in the suburb of Malekhiv. “The hit was on a three-story building where the Ukrainian Armed Forces were stationed,” he added, clarifying that the building contained military personnel and a small ammunition depot.

The third explosion occurred around 05:20 am. According to Lebedev, the sound of the explosion came from the direction of Lvov CHPP-2. Local residents said that one or two anchor supports of the power line were damaged, but the thermal power plant itself remained intact. As a result of these attacks, power outages began in the city.

Ukrainian officials have not yet commented on the damage or possible casualties. However, it is known that attacks on infrastructure and military warehouses are aimed at weakening the defense capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and disrupting supply chains.
