Japan calls for retirees in the air force due to lack of military

Japan will send military retirees to the service.

The TASS news agency, citing the Yomiuri newspaper, reported that plans had emerged in Japan to recruit retired military personnel.

The country's defense ministry hopes to replenish the ranks of the personnel at the expense of retirees, since they do not have enough military personnel. Pensioners are going to be appointed to vacant positions, primarily in the air force and navy.

Now they serve in Japan for up to 50 - 56 years. It is assumed that people fit for military service will be allowed to serve until the age of 65. The amount of monetary remuneration for them will be 60 - 80 percent of their salary.

At the expense of retirees, the Japanese Ministry of Defense is going to staff the rear service, redirecting young servicemen to combat surface and submarine ships, as well as to the Japanese Air Force, where in the last time there is a sorely lack of crews and technicians.
