Interception of Russian planes

Japanese fighters were sent to intercept Russian planes

April, 4. The Japanese Air Force was raised on alert to intercept two Tu-142 anti-submarine aircraft belonging to Russia, which were flying over the waters of Japan.

Nevertheless, despite the incident, the raising of combat fighters was undertaken primarily in order to control the flight of Russian aircraft, at least so stated the Japanese Foreign Ministry.

According to official information, Russian aircraft have already flown along this route for the sixth time, starting from 26 in March of the current year, and each time Japanese combat fighters rise to accompany them. This is due primarily to the fact that recently the whole world is concerned about the launch of ballistic shells from the territory of the DPRK, and Russia in this sense performs exclusively an observation mission.
