Russian VCS carried out 990 missions in August to strike strikes on the positions of IGIL in Syria.

According to official sources, during the first twenty days of August, Russian aviation carried out 990 sorties to bombard the positions of the Islamic State terrorist group, whose activities are officially banned in Russia and other countries. In total, more than 2,5 thousand strokes were inflicted, while Russian VCS advanced greatly in the liberation of Syrian territory, inflicting enormous losses on the enemy.

Head of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Sergei Rudskoy, reports that at present the central part of Syria is almost completely freed from terrorists.
