The Russian ZRPK Pantsir-ME was first introduced abroad.

An exhibition of arms and military equipment has opened in Abu Dhabi (UAE). Russia for the first time abroad presented a sea-based anti-aircraft missile system (the second name is the ZRAK anti-aircraft missile and artillery complex) "Pantsir-ME". NATO classification - "Greyhound".

At present, Pantsir-ME is the only complex of this type that has a single-combat unit. It has an anti-aircraft component, artillery and fire control system.

The peculiarity of this SPEC is that it can be installed on almost all the ships of the Russian Navy. In this case, the unification of the complex is such that it can be used on ships of other countries. This means that Pantsir-ME has a high export potential.

The Russian SALT of the sea-based aroused genuine interest. There is information that the UAE is going to make an order (probably, it has already been completed), providing for the further modernization of the Pantsir ZRPK - Pantsir-С1.

Speaking about Russian weapons, Rosoboronexport CEO Alexander Mikheyev said that the Pantsir was successfully operated by the United Arab Emirates. The request for further modernization by the UAE is also related to the presentation of the complex and, as quoted by the general director of RIA Novosti, its role was played by “exploitation in Syria”.

Probably, it should be recalled that in Syria, the "Armor" is opposed to Israeli missiles. At least two CAA complex lost. There are two reasons for this - own negligence and massive attacks by the Israeli air force on Syria’s air defense. Its professional use gives a high result. This is evidenced by a large number of various missiles and UAVs, destroyed during the defense of the Russian military base in Syria, Hmeymim.
