On the night of March 22, 2025, a fire broke out in the building of the regional union of combat veterans in Stavropol, which, according to preliminary data, was the result of deliberate arson. This was reported by the head of the city, Ivan Ulyanchenko, through his Telegram channel, specifying that rescuers managed to quickly extinguish the fire. According to him, the fire engulfed about 20 square meters of the building, but no human casualties were reported. Fire crews immediately arrived at the scene and dealt with the fire, preventing it from spreading to neighboring premises. The damage is limited to the burnt area, and the exact causes of the incident are to be determined by investigative bodies.

"Tonight in Stavropol, a building where the regional union of veterans of military operations in hot spots is located, on Oktyabrskoy Revolyutsii Avenue, caught fire. All emergency services responded promptly, the fire was extinguished. About 20 square meters of the building burned out. There were no casualties," - wrote Ulyanchenko.

Ulyanchenko stressed that the arson version is considered the main one.

"It was presumably arson. And given the situation, it could not have happened without provocations. The perpetrators will definitely be identified and punished, law enforcement agencies are already working. I appeal to all citizens, no promises from the enemy side are worth betraying your country, our guys who are now fighting in the SVO zone, and losing your freedom. Do not fall for provocations and bribes. The worst crime is treason," — the mayor noted, refraining from giving further details until the investigation is completed.

The building of the regional veterans' union, located in the center of Stavropol, is an important object for the local community, uniting veterans of military operations and organizing events in their support. The incident caused concern among city residents.
