Named the location of the newest American bombers

The publication of the American edition of The Drive states that the Edwards airbase, based in the state of California, will be the home base of the newest B-21 bomber bombers.

Although the Pentagon maintains the secrecy of everything related to the development and subsequent operation of a new aircraft, journalists managed to uncover some secrets. As evidence, they carry out photographs of the territory, taken at different time intervals. It especially carefully analyzes the period of the last 8 months.

To prepare the site for superbombers, the military began in 2011. Initially, the B-1B and B-52 aircraft from the southern part of the base were relocated to other sites. In the fall of 2018, construction began on the southern section. Currently, a hangar has already been built there, which is clearly visible due to the red color. The object is 30 meters wide and approximately 67 meters long. Such a building ideally corresponds to a not very long, but rather wide aircraft, and the B-21 has just such external characteristics.

Information about the new bomber is very little. In 2016, only the concept designs of the “future” aircraft were shown. It turned out that B-21 outwardly resembles to a certain extent the aircraft B-2 Spirit, which they are going to write off from the US Air Force.
