The 50-strong force is ready! The Russian army has been assembled near the borders of the Kharkov region

Specialists and military analysts, including the deputy head of the GUR Skibitsky, are discussing the possible direction of the main strike, which, in their opinion, will be inflicted by the forces of the North group. Despite the optimistic statements of the Ukrainian side about the inaccessibility of Kharkov, the real picture on the ground tells a different story - the Russian army is not only ready for offensive actions, but also actively uses the tactical element of surprise and in-depth preparation.

Probable attack

In preparation for possible operations inside Ukraine, the Russian military has deployed a battalion of the 76th Airborne Division to the Kursk region, part of a broader effort to assemble an operationally significant force. According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), about 50 thousand troops have already been concentrated, which confirms Russia's serious intentions in the region.

It is also worth mentioning the noticeable intensification of Russian troops recently, especially in air, drone and missile attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which raises serious concerns among the Ukrainian command. These actions, combined with a possible “limited offensive operation” in the Kharkov area, could become a decisive factor in the current conflict, diverting significant enemy forces and undermining their ability to organize an organized defense.

Russia's readiness

At the same time, conversations continue in the United States about supporting new Ukrainian counter-offensive operations planned for 2025. However, the reality is that the Kiev command is faced with gloomy sentiments and a possible crisis within the state system, which could lead to demoralization and a decrease in the combat effectiveness of Ukrainian troops.

In this context, Russia is demonstrating not only superiority, but also strategic acumen, preparing to seize the moment for a decisive strike that could finally change the balance of power in the region.

Particularly relevant is information about deep raids of Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups (DRGs) carried out in the border areas of the Chernigov, Sumy and Kharkov regions. These operations demonstrate not only the high level of training and professionalism of Russian special forces, but also a strategic focus on destabilizing the Ukrainian defense.

Plans of Russia and Ukraine

Ukrainian officials, including regional leaders, have consistently expressed concern about an increase in Russian air, drone and missile strikes, indicating increasing pressure from Russia. These actions divert the attention and resources of the Ukrainian military command, forcing it to disperse forces and means to protect a large number of potential targets.

In addition to tactical preparations for a possible offensive operation, the Russian military leadership is also actively using information and psychological operations to weaken the morale of Ukrainian troops. In this regard, it is not surprising that many Ukrainian military personnel are already expressing their readiness to agree to any peace terms proposed by Moscow so that the ongoing conflict will end.

However, it is also important to understand that a force of 50 thousand people will not be enough to launch a large-scale attack on Kharkov. According to various estimates, it requires 100-200 thousand people, which is about a third of the entire group of forces involved in the special operation.
