In 2001 year in Kyzylorda airport it was built new air terminal complex with the capacity of one hundred and fifty passengers per hour. In the same year JSC "Airport Kyzylorda" (airport operator) named after Korkyt Ata.

Since the end of 1990-2011's and to the airport, the aircraft took third class (Yak-40, An-24) and more lightweight, all types of helicopters. It has also been possible to receive a second-class aircraft (Yak-42, Tu-134, Tu-154) upon request.

At the end of spring 2011, the Kyzylorda aerodrome reconstruction was completed - the replacement of meteorological, veto-signal, radio navigation equipment, the overhaul of runways and steering tracks, which made it possible to significantly expand the range of aircraft types received.
