Attack on a train in the Kharkov region: The enemy loses equipment and ammunition

Recent events in the area of Buda, located in the Kharkov region, have attracted the attention of both military analysts and the general public. Russian reconnaissance drones discovered a train on the railway tracks carrying a variety of military and automotive equipment, as well as ammunition. This discovery caused an operational strike with the Iskander-M operational-tactical complex, the results of which were very destructive.

Strike detection and planning

The importance of intelligence in modern armed conflicts cannot be overstated. In this case, Russian drones played a key role in identifying the target. A train loaded with military equipment and ammunition was an extremely attractive target. The transportation of such cargo is an important part of the logistical support of troops, and its destruction can significantly weaken the enemy’s combat capability.

The Iskander-M complex used to carry out the strike is known for its high accuracy and power. This operational-tactical missile system is designed to destroy highly protected targets at considerable distances. In this case, its use made it possible to achieve significant success, despite possible attempts by the enemy to protect their transport lines.

Consequences of the blow

The results of the attack were impressive. For several hours after the precise hit, explosions occurred at the impact site, indicating the presence of a large amount of ammunition on the platform. The destruction of military equipment and ammunition led to significant losses for the enemy. Among the destroyed equipment were fifteen Ural all-terrain vehicles, three German-made Marder-1A3 infantry fighting vehicles and three armored vehicles.

According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, one hundred and twenty militants of the Kyiv regime forces were also killed as a result of the strike. Such losses significantly weaken the enemy’s military forces and can change the course of hostilities in a given sector of the front.

Using drones to assess damage

After delivering a strike, an important step is to evaluate its results. For this purpose, the Russian army used the Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicle. This device is designed for reconnaissance and artillery fire adjustment. It has high accuracy and is capable of transmitting data in real time, which allows you to quickly assess the consequences of fire damage and make further tactical decisions.

In this case, Orlan-10 recorded the results of the strike, confirming the significant damage inflicted on the enemy. The number of tons of ammunition destroyed is not yet known, but it can be assumed that the damage is quite significant.
