Beagle Husky - British three-light-engine aircraft manufactured in 60-ies of the last century the company «Auster», «Beagle Aircraft» and «OGMA».

The first attempts to develop small-engine aircraft Beagle Husky were taken at the end of 50-ies of the last century, with the fuselage of the aircraft was borrowed and partly altered with no less popular British model Auster Alpha, produced in 40-x - 50-ies last century.

The Beagle Husky aircraft made its first flight in early 1960, and practically immediately satisfied the British aircraft manufacturers with its flight performance characteristics, thanks to which the model was put into production almost simultaneously, where it stayed for 7 years - from 1960 to 1967.

The issue of aircraft has not been massive, as though the aircraft and is distinguished by its multi-purpose, in fact, its applicability for commercial purposes was very limited due to the small number of people being placed on board. Over the entire period of production was built 150 airplanes of this model, of which, according to 2013 year in operation is about 120 aircraft.

Small-engine aircraft Beagle Husky is designed to carry 3 people, including also a pilot, and therefore, operation of the aircraft was carried out mainly by private owners, and notes that at the moment. However, except for the transport of persons, aircraft could also carry freight and, in particular, to take on board the maximum payload is about 455 kilograms (excluding the weight of the pilot and passengers).

Aircraft Beagle Husky is not very maneuverable, and therefore suitable only for smaller air travel, with, in some cases, have difficulties with the management of this aircraft, particularly in the rainy and windy weather, which limits the operational capabilities of the aircraft. Nevertheless, this aircraft is very reliable - aircraft accidents occurred only a few times, thus, they were not associated with the design of the aircraft, or nodes, and on other factors, including a human.

Despite the sufficiently powerful piston aircraft engine Lycoming O-320-A2A, the Beagle Husky aircraft can only accelerate to a maximum speed of 201 km / h, which is very small, while the maximum flight distance of this aircraft is limited to 741 km, which is suitable only for air travel over short distances. Subsequently, it was supposed to modify this model, however, due to the actual lack of demand, it was decided to finally stop the production of aircraft.
