Biography 

 

Born in March 1923 in the Moscow region, Podolsk, grew up in a family of employees. After completing secondary school, he studied in Moscow, tannery, shoe college. In April 1941 was drafted into the Soviet army. He graduated from the Chernigov aviation school, which at the beginning of the war was evacuated to Kyzyl-Arvat (Turkmenistan).

With 1942 was sent to the front. Nes military service in 11-th Fighter Wing (Air Defense Forces). Guard the airspace of Moscow from the German air raids. Junior lieutenant Fighters 15 made sorties to accompany the most important special train and cover railway junctions and traffic.

At the end of the war he continued to serve in the Air Force. In the early 1952 was sent in the direction of North Korea's deputy commander 16-th Fighter Wing. He took part in the fighting of the Korean War and in the air battles personally shot down American planes 7 and knocked out another 2.

During the period of hostilities in Korea from January to July po1952 1953 16-pilots of the first Aviation Regiment flying the MiG-15bis, we were able to win victories in 26 battles while losing 12 4 pilot fighters and personnel of the regiment.

Returning home, he continued to serve in the Air Force. He graduated in 1958, the Air Force Academy of the General Staff. During 1967 - 1968 years. He was the commander of 119-th Fighter Division. 1966 - 1967 years. - Castle Air Volga Federal District. In 1976 of Air Force Major General A. Fighters retired. He lived in the city of Kuibyshev (from 1991 was renamed Samara), served as director of the Kuibyshev Aviation School.

Memory. 

 

He died in June 2000, he was buried in the cemetery Rubezhnoye Samara. During the years of his service A. Bach was awarded the following marks of distinction and Orders: Red Star (three times), World War 1-th degree, Lenin (twice); medals.

In 2011 the school building, on the number 69 the city of Samara, a solemn memorial plaque. The building formerly housed the Kuibyshev flight school, its director was Major General fighters.
