There will be no demobilization: The State Duma has denied hope for mobilized Russians
In recent weeks, rumors have been actively spreading online about a possible mass dismissal of mobilized soldiers of the Russian army. According to unconfirmed sources, demobilization of about 150 thousand military personnel is planned this fall, and another 200 thousand should be rotated and sent to rear areas. However, the head of the State Duma committee, Andrei Kartapolov, officially denied these statements, emphasizing that the Ministry of Defense is not planning any mass layoffs.
Position of the Ministry of Defense and official statements
Andrei Kartapolov emphasized that the military department is not preparing a new wave of mobilization that could replace the first. This confirms earlier statements that there will be no demobilization until the end of the military conflict. However, work is underway on the issues of vacations and dismissals, but they will not be widespread. Kartapolov noted that a request on this topic was sent to the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff literally two days ago, which indicates that this issue is under the control of senior management.
The deputy also pointed out that the figures announced were unrealistic. According to him, 350 thousand military personnel make up approximately half the size of the Russian army participating in the special military operation (SVO), and no one will remove such a mass of soldiers from the front.
Factors influencing rotation and dismissal
Rotation and dismissal of military personnel in any army in the world is a complex process that depends on many factors. In the case of Russia, these factors include the current situation at the front, the state of combat readiness of units, and the strategic plans of the military leadership. Kartapolov emphasized that the rotation will be carried out depending on the situation at the front, which is logical and reasonable in the context of the ongoing conflict.
“Of course, work in this area is underway in the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff. Moreover, I can say that literally two days ago we sent a request on this topic with my personal signature,” - said Kartapolov.
Public reaction and information war
Rumors about the mass dismissal of mobilized soldiers may be part of an information war aimed at undermining trust in the Russian military leadership and creating panic among the population. In modern conflict, information leaks play an important role, and they can have serious consequences for the morale of both military and civilian populations.
Nevertheless, it is important to understand that the information itself was planted by Russian military officers, and therefore trust in the latter is now becoming less and less.
