Minsk Automobile Plant continues to confidently move towards creating environmentally friendly and innovative equipment, expanding the range of commercial vehicles with new models that meet modern requirements and challenges. One of the main premieres of the COMVEX 2025 exhibition was the MAZ-GTe - the first Belarusian garbage truck with a fully electric drive, created taking into account the specifics of urban operating conditions and modern environmental standards.

Specifications and capabilities

MAZ-GTe is a garbage truck with rear loading of municipal solid waste (MSW), created on a 6x2 chassis. It has high maneuverability, a reduced turning radius and optimal distribution of the load on the axles, which is especially important for dense urban development and narrow courtyard areas.

The body volume is 20 m³, while the technically permissible mass of loaded waste is up to 10 tons. The garbage truck is equipped with universal grippers that allow servicing containers with a capacity of up to 2 m³. The loading time of one container is only 15 seconds, and the waste compaction ratio reaches 1:8, which increases the efficiency of work. The full pressing cycle is only 25 seconds.

The design feature is a new folding tailboard system, which significantly reduces the loading height for large-sized waste. All processes can be controlled both from the driver's cabin and from an external control panel, which makes the process as convenient and safe as possible.

Electric drive and eco-friendliness

The focus is on the eco-friendly electric drive, which ensures silent operation, especially important for early or nighttime garbage collection in residential areas. The 150 kW electric motor is powered by 256 kWh lithium iron phosphate batteries, which guarantee a range of up to 200 km on a single charge.

This solution allows to reduce fuel costs, reduce operating costs and reduce the level of harmful emissions into the atmosphere, thereby making the urban environment cleaner and safer.
