Aircraft FMA IA 50 Guarani II is a multipurpose aircraft, the development of which began in 1963 year, thus, the plane it can be used also as a passenger aircraft, and as a transport aircraft, and, this applies both to civil and to military aircraft.

In itself, the aircraft FMA IA 50 Guarani II became the first turboprop aircraft, manufactured in Argentina, however, due to lack of prior developments, the aircraft proved to be quite expensive, which in turn has reduced its popularity - for the entire period of production was built 35 airplanes of this model, including three prototypes.

Depending on the purpose, the plane can carry on its board to 15 passengers or the cargo weighing up to a kilogram 3196 provided headroom. In addition, the aircraft used and the air forces of Argentina for the transport of troops, in particular, on board could accommodate up to 30 people. The maximum distance of flight of the aircraft is 1995 kilometers, which in turn allows to use it as a regional aircraft.

The aircraft uses a turboprop engine in the form of two Turbomeca Bastan VI-A aircraft engines capable of developing tractive power in 1860 hp, which in turn allowed the aircraft to fly at sufficiently high speeds - the maximum speed of this aircraft's flight is 515 km / H. Initially, the prototypes of this model used less powerful aircraft engines (850 hp), however, in the final version, it was decided to use a more powerful power plant. The power plant is reliable enough, however, a little expensive in terms of service and maintenance, which also caused problems when using this aircraft.
