With the advent of H-23V, the army made another order, acquiring 273 helicopter on skis as opposed to modification A helicopters with a three-post chassis. They were used mainly as training exercises. Then again for the army followed a triple with a single lantern cockpit helicopter H-23S (built 145 copies). But even more large order for the helicopter "Raven" (Raven - Raven), the company "Hiller" (Hiller) received a modification of D, which differed from the forced engine and increased from 600 to 1000 hours.

It was purchased at least 483 instances that have served before the 1970-ies. Overseas helicopter used by a number of countries, including Britain, Argentina and Egypt. The latter two countries and today operate a small number of these helicopters. There were built more than 2000 helicopters UH-12, and this type is still in limited production company "Hiller Eykraft Corporation» (Hiller Aircraft Corporation). Many of the helicopters served previously in the US Army, flying to the United States for more than two decades, while at the same time in Great Britain in a state of airworthiness is one helicopter HT 2.
