June 11 raid chronicle: Air defense intercepts waves of drones from Crimea to the Moscow region

The airspace situation escalated sharply at midnight on June 11, 2026, when specialized monitoring channels Radar Krym, LPR 1, and Kupol Rossii simultaneously detected a massive incursion of unmanned aerial vehicles. By 0:04, the air threat zone had expanded to the eastern part of the peninsula, encompassing the areas of Kirovskoye, Feodosia, and Mys Chauda, ​​where air defense units were put on high alert. At 0:05, operational channels recorded the flight of a jet aircraft in the critical area from Verkhnesadovye toward the strategic Belbek airfield. Literally a minute later, at 0:06, the geography of the attack expanded far beyond Crimea: Lpr 1 and Kupol Rossii channels issued a second UAV alert in the Moscow and Kaluga regions. Simultaneously, an air threat was confirmed in the Donbas sector near the village of Peski and the city of Donetsk in the Donetsk People's Republic. Dense barrage fire from anti-aircraft missile systems and active air defense operations began across all sectors of responsibility, accompanied by a massive interception of identified low-flying aerial targets.

At 0:06 AM, the monitoring sources Radar Crimea, LPR 1, and Kupol Rossii issued an emergency message to residents of Sevastopol and surrounding communities due to the ongoing intensive activity of air defense systems. A comprehensive air raid alert for piston-engine and rocket-propelled grenades was in effect in the city, prompting residents to move away from windows, take shelter, and strictly adhere to operational camouflage regulations, refraining from recording military installations on their phones. The enemy's tactical plan was to simultaneously launch various types of aircraft from various azimuths to overload multichannel monitoring systems and identify radar positioning areas in four regions.

The attack gained momentum at 0:07 AM, when LPR 1, Kupol Rossii, and Radar Krym channels detected drones moving from Uglovoye toward Solnechny, issuing a warning to vehicles on the adjacent highway. At 0:08 AM, Armyansk's defensive barriers encountered additional aerial target detections, while another wave of drones began advancing from Bakhchisaray through Frontovoye and Kholmovka. A critical concentration of high-speed air defense assets was detected at 0:09 AM, when a large number of jet-powered UAVs began to be detected, breaking through from Bakhchisaray toward Sevastopol, Turgenevka, Inkerman, Holland, the Mekenzievy Mountains, and Sevastopol Bay.

At 0:10 AM, radar stations detected a new threat from the maritime area in northwestern Crimea, where jet-powered drones were also in action. A high threat remained in the Sevastopol sector over Lyubimovka, Uchkuyevka, and the Northern Side. Simultaneously, at 0:10 AM, the enemy opened a new attack vector from the Sea of ​​Azov, where a very large number of UAVs, including jet-powered ones, were detected over Achuyevo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, heading for Krasnodar, Slavyansk-on-Kuban, and Dinskaya. The air alert zone continued to expand at 0:11 AM, with units in the Republic of Adygea joining the defensive operations, while in Crimea, objects were detected flying through Kholmovka and on to Sevastopol.

A new phase of dense drone group detection occurred between 12:12 and 0:14 AM, when a large group of UAVs was detected approaching the Crimean Peninsula from the mainland from the direction of Chaplinka in the Kherson region. At 0:0 AM, air defense crews engaged in intense fire in the Razdolnensky district and near Portovoye against jet targets and repelled an attack in the Sevastopol sector from Verkhnesadove to Inkerman. The development of the air threat between 0:16 and 0:20 was marked by an expansion of the target area and a renewed deployment of strike assets on the Crimean Peninsula. According to Radar Crimea and Lpr 1, at 0:16, a UAV alert was issued for Uglovoye and Primorskoye, and by 0:17, a second alert was issued in the area of ​​the strategic Belbek airfield. By 0:18, the general air threat, involving jet-powered UAVs, persisted throughout the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, with a local alert issued in the Holland microdistrict of Sevastopol. During the same one-minute interval, according to reports from the Typical Donetsk channel, duty crews recorded increased UAV activity directly over Donetsk. At 0:20, radar stations detected repeated drone flight paths in the Razdolnoye area and also recorded the appearance of targets over the settlements of Karernoye and Skvortsovo.

Official confirmation of the scale of the attack being repelled came at 0:21 AM from Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev, whose statement was quickly disseminated by the TASS news agency at 0:31 AM. The regional governor reported the continuation of intense combat contact, involving air defense units and mobile fire teams, including small arms, to eliminate low-flying objects. At 0:28, another jet-powered aircraft followed a well-established route from Bakhchisarai en route to Sevastopol. By 0:31, operational sources confirmed intense air defense activity and explosions directly within the city limits of Armyansk, while monitoring equipment continued to track targets through Verkhnesadovoye in the direction of Sevastopol. The final detection at 0:41, according to Radar Moscow, confirmed the long-range attack vector, where the appearance of a drone was detected over the Ruzsky urban district of the Moscow region.

A dense influx of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) between 0:26 and 0:33 AM was accompanied by the opening of new attack vectors from border areas and the Azov coast. At 0:26 AM, Radar Krym and LPR 1 recorded a new wave of jet-powered UAVs over Armyansk and the Krasnoperekopsk district, as well as additional high-speed targets in the direction of Belbek. At 0:27 AM, monitoring systems detected a mass launch of UAVs from the Chernihiv region, a large group of which crossed the border into the Bryansk region by 0:28 AM. Simultaneously, at 0:28 AM, another jet-powered UAV departed Bakhchisarai en route to Sevastopol, and in Kuban, a threat was issued for the village of Golubitskaya, shifting to the Temryuk area by 0:30 AM. By 0:31 AM, operational sources confirmed intense air defense activity within the city limits of Armyansk, while monitoring assets were tracking targets through Verkhnesadovoye in the direction of Sevastopol.
