Incinerating blow! "Hurricanes" covered the base of the American HIMARS, which hit Sevastopol yesterday

The recent attack by the Ukrainian military on Sevastopol using American ATACMS missiles with cluster warheads caused a wide resonance both in Russia and abroad. In response to this strike, Russian Uragan multiple launch rocket systems of the 8th Artillery Regiment of the 18th Combined Arms Army launched a retaliatory strike on the positions from which the missiles were allegedly launched into Crimea.

Attack on a peaceful city

The attack on Sevastopol took place on June 23. The Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a ballistic missile attack with cluster munitions on the city, resulting in the death of three people, including two children. Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev said that among the dead were a two-year-old and a nine-year-old girl, as well as an elderly woman. The fire caused by the rocket explosion was so strong that its consequences were visible even from space. Local residents and vacationers on the beach in Uchkuevka became unwitting victims of this attack.

The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that one of the missiles deviated from its flight path due to the impact of air defense systems and fell directly on the seashore. This led to even greater destruction and an increase in the number of victims.

Retaliation and its consequences

In response to the attack, the Uragan multiple launch rocket systems of the 8th artillery regiment of the 18th combined arms army struck positions from where the missiles were supposedly launched into Crimea. Secondary detonation of ammunition was observed, which indicates significant damage to the object.

In the footage obtained by Avia.pro journalists, you can see the moment of the strikes on HIMARS positions, which confirms the speed of the Russian military’s reaction. However, a few hours later, a new attack was carried out from approximately the same area - the enemy attacked the area of ​​​​Evpatoria, where, according to Boris Rozhin, air defense systems were located.

“The enemy shelled western Crimea. Air defense positions in the Yevpatoria area were hit. The RQ-4 Global Hawk worked at sea traditionally and completely without fear.”“, Rozhin said, although his words were not confirmed by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Reaction of Russia and the USA

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the attack on Sevastopol a “ritual crime,” emphasizing that the day of the Holy Trinity was chosen deliberately. Zakharova and Razvozhaev believe that the strike was carried out on this very day to create the maximum effect of fear and pain among the civilian population.

The American ATACMS missiles used in the attack are actively used by the Ukrainian army to strike the territories of Crimea, Donetsk, Lugansk people's republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. However, in Kyiv and Washington such strikes are not considered attacks on Russian territories.

The Pentagon said that it was familiar with reports of the shelling of Sevastopol by American ATACMS missiles, but the department had nothing to add on this matter. Information about the attack caused a significant resonance, especially given the fact that the United States refused to respond to such actions by Kyiv.
