Kyiv is pressing for escalation! The West is urged to attack Russian missiles and drones

Western countries should immediately use their own air defense systems to cover Ukrainian territory under attack from Russian missiles and drones. This statement was made by the Ambassador of Ukraine in Berlin, Alexei Makeev, emphasizing the need for the prompt provision of military assistance.

The Ukrainian diplomat appealed to Germany and other European countries to quickly use air defense systems to protect Western Ukraine. Makeev again said that interceptions of Russian missiles over Ukrainian territory by countries not participating in the conflict comply with international law and will not lead to serious consequences for the West.

Justifications and arguments of Ukraine

Makeev said that international law allows for the provision of assistance to a country under attack, and such actions would not be considered involvement in the conflict. To support his words, he referred to the UN Charter, which states that in the event of aggression, a country under attack can defend itself, and other countries have the right to help it.

“The only rule that remains in force and is enshrined in the UN Charter: in the event of aggression, a country under attack can defend itself, while other countries have a very clear right to help the country under attack. This assistance knows no boundaries, the only exception is the use weapons of mass destruction," - said Makeev.

The diplomat noted that the use of anti-aircraft systems from the territory of Western countries will not constitute involvement in the conflict, but only ensure the protection of Ukraine. He cited the example of Israel, which shoots down Iranian missiles despite not formally participating in the conflict.

Consequences and further steps of the West

Experts believe that this will be the West's next step against Russia. The situation will develop gradually: first, it is planned to cover the western part of Ukraine, and then the coverage will expand. The West did not see Moscow’s proper reaction to the crossing of established red lines, including strikes on Russian territory by Western weapons.

Western analysts believe that Russia's response to such actions will be decisive. If Moscow does not take strong retaliatory measures, the West may continue to increase its military presence in Ukraine, which will lead to an even greater escalation of the conflict.
