Developments turboprop aircraft Let L-610 were based on the model L-410, which has become very popular not only among civilian airlines, but also in the air forces of several countries at once. In essence, the general appearance of the aircraft has not changed at all - the aircraft manufacturers have lengthened the aircraft fuselage and installed new turboprop aircraft engines of increased power, which in turn made it possible to accommodate up to 40 passengers on board. In addition, the Let L-610 aircraft was supposed to replace the Soviet aircraft. An-24, All the more so due to its more efficient technical characteristics, the aircraft surpassed him, except, perhaps, passenger capacity, which amounted to less than ten people and the speed of flight, makes 438 km \ h.

The main problem faced by Czech aviation engineers was the selection of modern turboprop engines, which, in fact, became the main reason for a fairly long aircraft design cycle, but later, it was decided to use a power plant that includes General Electric General Electric CT7 engines. -9D, allowing to develop a total power of 3500 hp.

The cabin was quite roomy, and unlike the AN-24, which is expected eventually to replace, was quite comfortable.

His first flight, the plane Let L-610 1988 made in the year, however, despite the rather successful development, no aircraft was not delivered to any airline in the world, mainly because of the need to implement a number of improvements and a high enough price.

For almost ten years, aircraft designers from Let Kunovice tried to finalize the design of a passenger aircraft, optimizing it to modern standards, however, despite this, the mass production of aircraft was never established, mainly due to the lack of demand for this aircraft on the market. Depending on the modification of the prototypes, the flight performance of the aircraft changed somewhat, however, this was mainly reflected in the flight range and speed.

However, after the aircraft manufacturer Let Kunovice was acquired by Ayres Corporation, attempts were made to recreate the model under a different name - Ayres 7000, however, in the end, due to a lack of funds, the aircraft maker was closed, and all attempts build a turboprop 40-seater passenger aircraft were finally stopped.
