Ultra-light aircraft Let-Mont Tulak was designed by Czech aircraft manufacturers in connection with the need to ensure that its own market with small aircraft designed primarily for private use. Nevertheless, despite fairly low cost aircraft model Let-Mont Tulak, their manufacture was not massive, and according to 2014 year aircraft release has been completed.

Plane Let-Mont Tulak produced by Czech aircraft manufacturers and, as already fully ready for operation of the aircraft, and as a set for self-assembly, which in turn can reduce the purchase of the aircraft costs, while the very aircraft assembly process will take about 700 hours.

The cabin of the aircraft Let-Mont Tulak has a sufficiently large size, however, despite this fact, there can accommodate only two people - a pilot and a passenger. Small seating capacity is primarily due to the fact that the plane uses a low-power motor, which became the main reason for reducing the cost of the aircraft. Among other things, the aircraft of this model is also suitable for the transportation of small cargoes, however, for these purposes it is almost never used in the absence of rationality (low speed and distance of the flight).

Reciprocating two-cylinder air-cooled aircraft engine Rotax 503 used here as a power plant, allows the aircraft to develop power in 50 hp, which in turn is very small, and in fact, provides the plane with a take-off only at its maximum mass of 450 kilogram. The maximum flight speed of the Let-Mont Tulak model is 150 km / h, while often the airplane only moves at speeds of the order of 110 km / h. The maximum distance covered by the aircraft is limited to a distance of 480 kilometers, and according to experts, it is in this connection that the aircraft did not acquire great popularity among customers, although the cost of the aircraft predisposed it. Nevertheless, one of the positive aspects of a low-power power plant was its simplicity and minimal cost in maintenance.

Besides the Czech Republic, the plane Let-Mont Tulak also exported to other European countries, in particular in Austria, France and Germany, however, the US market has not accepted the aircraft, in particular because of its rather low flight performance.
